CASUAL CONTINENT TAKES ON THE GERMAN GIANTS

Casual Continent, a game studio based in Helsinki, Finland, releases its upcoming Browser MMO "Crown of Byzantus" to beta stage on January 18th. The game is aimed at international markets and will be launched in cooperation with various media partners.

"You can expect fierce battles, epic quests and harrowing adventures in the ruins of ancient empires, all in the best traditions of chivalric romance", says Ville Vuorela, the lead designer for Crown of Byzantus.

Crown of Byzantus turns the player into a knight who must assemble an army and accomplish feats of heroism in pursuit of the prize: the Crown of Byzantus. Besides warfare, tactics and intrigue also have a role to play as the backstory features a conflict of five great powers over a dying Empire.

"The development has been a determined year-long effort and everything has been iterated and ironed to the detail. Now as the launch draws near we have very high expectations for the game. The browser MMO genre market has been pretty much dominated by German studios until now", says Pyry Lehdonvirta, the Casual Continent CEO.
